Microfinance Project

United Nations Development Programme means to achieve full and produductive employment and decent work for all, including women and young people (UNDP, 2012). Youth unemployment remains an issue in Tanzania and economic growth needs to accelerate (NSGRP II, 2010).

Microfinance project

The microfinance project aims to increase employment and reduce poverty by helping local entrepreneurs to establish their own businesses. With proper help and education along the way the goal is to create growing businesses that in turn will create employment for more people. The organisation gives start-up grants and education to the group who is interested in starting up a small business. This project is open for a lot of possibilities regarding volunteer work and volunteers are highly appreciated.

As a volunteer at the microfinance project you will be working directly with the local community. Translators are always available since the locals may not master the English language. You must be above 20 years old and speak English to be able to volunteer at the microfinance project. Volunteers at this projects work from 9am-1pm from Monday to Friday.
